History
Gulfstream Technologies has been developed based on the decades of experience in designing, constructing, maintaining, and operating, sophisticated, sub-sea machinery.
The past President of Gulfstream Technologies, Phillip P. Janca, and his son, Todd Janca, have applied past oceanic experience to focus on developing an alternative subsurface energy solution. The idea of creating a subsurface power generating station became obvious to the Janca’s after engaging in numerous manned and unmanned sub-sea projects. One specific deep recovery project became a pivotal moment for the Jancas.
While trying to photograph and recover parts off the east coast of Florida, one thing became very evident, that is, the Gulf Stream current was difficult to contend with as recovery crews wrestled with its constant three plus knot current. It was immediately apparent that technology could be employed to harness subsurface currents to produce renewable energy. Gulfstream Technologies' technology has evolved to include the application of our technology in fresh water environments, such as discharge canals, immediately below power plants and industrial plants to produce electricity.
